Default Headunit with Bluetooth streaming

Have an AP2 and am looking for a new head unit that plays bluetooth audio and is compatible with Modifry controls. Dont need CD player and I have a car charger to charge my phone thru the 12v if need be. Im looking at the Pioneer 560BT as it looks good for the price and has everything I need. Only options I may add later is to replace the door speakers. Thoughts?

A lot of people replace OEM speakers (you might need to do some work on the doors to support that though).
Before rushing into any decisionx get yourself a nice head unit (which works with the standard controls without modrify) and test how it sounds..
Have a look at this:

There are units that retain the audio switches by the steering wheel without modifry?

No. All aftermarket headunits require a dash control interface of some sort.

There are a ton of options that would fit the bill. I'd suggest finding a head unit that not only works with the Modifry wired DCI but has a Modifry PnP harness as well. Makes install much easier and faster.

I've got the Sony Explod with Modifry controls, and variable speed volume enabled, and rear speakers, works nicely , 52 x 4 watts .

I had a parrot Asteroid classic in my S2000 and absolutely loved it. Never messed with the modifry stuff. It's not like I had to reach that far to mess with the controls.

I went with the kenwood 798. It plays CDs but I like it so far. Plays Bluetooth and I used the modifry dci and pnp harness. I also did like most ppl and upgraded my speakers at the time of installation.

Kenwood here as well...Modifry DCI n PnP. only issue was having to push MODE +volume up or down to change preset radio stations and/or songs on Pandora. retained stock speakers and was night and day sound. Still nothing to WOW about since stock speakers suck. but its much improved. Purchased my H/U from Amazon

Kenwood as well, 998BT. Night and day difference in the sound. Did not upgrade speakers at the same time, plan to do so in the spring (if it ever arrives).
But for me, the BT audio streaming and "aux in" capability made this a no-brainer. Picked the HU up from Newegg in late November 2014 for $129. An incredible bargain.
Modrify and PnP installed as well. Polk db6501 next on the install. Good luck on your search.
