Default help!

I want an MP3 player in my car, but I don't want to lose the audio controls on the dash. Any suggestions?

There are a lot of options - PM Lucid, DJ QUBE, McGuyver or WLaurent - they know most of the receivers that work and know the components needed to connect.

You can definitely keep your controls.
I installed a PAC SWI-X if I recall correctly with my
Pioneer DEH-740 MP

Definitely check out Lucid's stuff.

I think he may have a no delay setup now.
What I mean by that is there is an inherent delay with the interfaces needed to adapt an aftermarket radio to factory dash controls.
Look at some of my previous posts for more info.
Since you are nearby you are welcome to check out my setup.
Let me know and I'll show you the pros and cons.

Definitely more pros in my opinion.

I've got an SWI-X with a Clarion HU...mostly works like stock, except the "Mode" button doesn't work all the time and the mute never worked. I hear there's wire you can add a resistor to (Lucid knowswhat to do) to fix it but I don't miss those buttons enough to bother.

I installed the Alpine 9813 with Lucid's DCI. No problems at all. I haven't set it up, but the DCI also allows for variable speed adjusted volume (automatically increases/decreases volume with speed).

I also have Lucid's DCI with an Alpine 9815. It works great. I got the 9815 for $350.00 at a local shop and they said they would give that price to other S2000 owners. So far a few people in our area have taken advantage of it.

Lucid's DCI works with Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony and Clarion decks. Just find an MP3 HU from one of those companies and you'll be fine.
