Ok Here it is I know there are a few of you here that are electronics experts so hopefully you can point me to a Relay that will work for the following objective.

What I have is a setup where I have a Momentary switch that when pushed down passes on a Ground to the relay. Now what I need is a relay that when it recieves this signal will pass the ground out of terminal 1 and then back off, when pressed the second time it outputs to terminal 2 then back off then it repeats itself.

Anyone have any idea?

Give me a clue what you are trying to do. Sometimes there are other ways to accomplish the same task. Us electronic goober-heads may think of an easier way to perform your function.

For instance, does it have to be a relay? What is it you are you turning on and off? (how much current?) How long does it have to stay ON before it turns back off?

I assume this is to be installed in your car. If you can wait a week or two, I'll be posting a new modification I'm making to allow existing switches on the stook (which ones? - it's a secret!) to turn just about anything in the way of accessories on and off.

If you're doing something secret too, and don't want to divulge the details here, PM me and I'll try to help.

Basically what it is is JDM electronic Folding side Mirrors With the full wiring harness The harness has three pins on it 2 of them being the power going to the mirrors folding motor and the other being the signal coming from the door switch
Which outputs a ground when pushed, the switch is a momentary switch. When pushed (not held in) the first time the mirrors both fold in, when pressed again they fold back out.

So far the way I figured out was to use a DEI 529T window module for the fact that it can use its "one touch window control" on the mirrors so that when it gets a negative pulse the mirror will keep traveling until it cannot anymore. The 529T Has two inputs (usually from an alarm) so when you push the button it would output a (-) pulse to the first input of the 529T folding in the mirrors, When pressed again it would output to the second channel and fold out the mirrors.

Nice page you have, someone posted it over on Honda Tech in the ITR forum

TIA
Mike

[B]1. Is the momentary switch you refer to supplied with the mirrors?

The drawing helps. The part you need is the "relay" in the drawing. It's job is to take a momentary ground from the push button, and turn it into a momentary ground output that alternates between the two connections to the DEI 529T. Right?

If that's correct, you need a flip-flop with momentary outputs. I don't know of a commercial device to do this, but I could make one. What's it worth to your friend?

Would automatic activation be better? (mirrors open with ignition on, close with ignition off)

Ok, not to get too far off topic, but where did you get the electric mirrors, and how much were they? I'd love to have a set wired in to my alarm...
