Hey everyone I just threw in my new stereo into my car during the long weekend.

Here's my setup

CDA-9835
JL 500/1
10W6v2 in custom fiberglass box that fits into the tool well.

I already removed the plastic tray that's supposed to hold the soft top when it is folded down I would say that fixed 70% of the rattling problems. However there is still considerable rattling when I turn the volume up, coming from the ("secret compartment"). When I press down on the glove box and "secret compartment" almost all the rattling is gone. There is still some rattle coming from the trunk area but the glove box rattle is starting to annoy me because my head is right beside it.

Did anyone else ever encounter this problem? If you did what were some of the steps you have done to eliminate the rattle?

strange as i have almost the same set-up but with-out the rattles

jl 12 inch sub and i don't get any rattles (that i can hear)

maybe we'll have to take a look at what's different at the next Tech day

 

Bass, if you did any, what were some of the steps you've done for rattle reduction?
