Help with Ipod

Default Help with Ipod

I got an ipod used from another S2ker and when I plug it into the computer and pull up i tunes it says the ipod is inaccessable and needs to be restored. I just want to download the music on it so I don't lose it. Can anyone help?

If I can't find the answer here then i can't find it anywhere.

I bought this only because of all the songs. I could have spent another $70 and gottena new one. I didn't think about any legality. Now I would not like to format it and lose most of what I paid for.

Use either ephpod or anapod to get your music off. Apple were very good at preventing people from doing presicely this.

go to your folder settings click view and check view hidden folders

then just copy and paste it from ipod to comp

reformat your ipod

then load back up

the my computer section sees the device but says it can't access it until it is formatted.

The ipod works fine and has over 3200 songs on it. I can't get any of them.

Just found out that it is a mac formated ipod. I will try my friend that has a mac.

ps - you can now download songs off an iPod onto any of up to five computers you authorize to receive the music.

that is only if you downloaded it from itunes which i can bet like most of us he didnt
