oh BTW, the specs on the amp is.....: Continuous Average Power Output (RMS): 200 watts x 1 into 4 ohms, 20 Hz to 20 KHz at 0.04% THD. 300 watts x 1 into 2-ohm (typical). Dimensions: 13 x 3 x 12.

Type R will serve you well. Its a nice sub, and hits cleanly. I had one before my Alphasonik, and loved it.

I have a 10" type R in the tool well of my trunk, and love it! Best price I have found is at etronics.com. I have ordered 3X from them, and no problems. The amp you have should be plenty of power to drive the Alpine!

One 10" type R is plenty loud enough for the S, and provides plenty of tight bass that the stock system lacks.

However, if all your interested in is being heard from a distance, you can just get a cheap 12" sub and an inexpensive high power amp and annoy everyone around you at the expense of denying yourself a true audio experience. Too many people are more concerned about the volume of the music than the quality of the music these days. That's just my .02 cents worth, and I'm probably dating myself with such a comment!

Volume of the box described is correct for a 10" Type R Sub, and from the pics, it appears there is enough depth. The Type R is deeper than many 10" subs, and will require 6 or 6.5" of depth.

Good luck with your decision, I think you'll be very happy with the Type R if that's the route you choose.

Sorry if my previous post was a little harsh, I'm just easily annoyed by people who want to make sure that I hear their obnoxiously distored bass :-)
