Default Help a sister out?

Searching for over an hour but I can't find instructions on replacing a head unit for my 2007? All I have right now is my tablet since my laptop is broken, so can someone help me with a link to DYI instructions for replacing a head unit in my stook? Honest, I always search the forms for what I need, but right now my internet access is limited and I keep coming up with nothing.

I've got a Kenwood head unit, and a Modifry wired DCI harness, now all I need is instructions on swapping it out. Can someone help with instructions on how to remove the center console radio cover and passenger side foot well access for Speed variable control wiring tap? The only instructions I've been able to find are for ap1s. Many thanks!

Alternatively, does anyone know anyone in the Dallas area that would consider doing the install for me for a half case of beer? :-) (Good craft beer, not the crappy stuff.)

Instructions are in the link above for putting in a new head unit. As for the SCV, not sure on that but I'm sure it has some information. Best thing is to post in the area subforums to see if anyone there can help. It is all very straightforward actually and you can most definitely manage it on your own.

Wow, thanks guys!

Those links were very helpful, in more ways than one. Now I finally know where the secret compartment is! 2 months I've had this car, I feel like a dork for not finding it sooner. Now I know where to hide my quarters for the car wash.

I didn't see anything about how to get to the wiring harness for SVC, though. I've looked down around the open compartment on the passenger's side (don't know what it's officially called, but I keep my sunglasses there since it's lined with felt.) After about 5 minutes of I still didn't see any way to get it off, except for maybe a clip on the center console?

I'm waiting for a warm weather day to correspond with a weekend day so I have enough sunlight/time to attempt the install without freezing in the process.

Yeah, I have no idea about the SVC. I wasn't even aware that the 06+ had that.

My 04 had the svc too. When I had my modify harness I never noticed any extra wiring for the svc. Should just be plug and play depending on which one you get...

Once the Modifry DCI is installed, adding SCV is easy. Once you have the passenger side panel off, just fish the DCI through and clip the T-tap gray wire connected to the DCI around the speed wire in the convertible top module (do NOT cut the speed wire). Full DCI install instructions are here: Page 2 has photos for getting the pre-2006 passenger side panel off and connecting the SCV wire.

Not sure how much Honda changed the panel when they added the glove box on the later years, but I think it's the same basic cover. It's tricky to get off. You have to pull hard to get the clips to release, but it's also easy to crack or bend the plastic. Good luck!
