You could install a screen to display videos from cameras mounted on your car in various locations. Click a record button in the cabin while driving, and have the cameras record to a small computer (maybe also mounted back there), then you can open the trunk after a drive and watch yourself in action.

Its not just airflow, its cooler air flowing over the radiator. Air in the trunk gets hot, so unless the radiator is elsewhere, it won't do any good and will just generate more heat in the trunk.
Yeah, I know. What i meant was to open up the trunk to the cabin area by building some sort of ducting. I would expect the vent behind the seats would be a good place to start.

Of course if it's all SHOW and no GO then it really doesn't matter how hot the trunk is.

Yup.

I dont need the cooling. This isnt something I have seen in a car yet (water cooling)...so I might just do it for bling points. John, you better not steal this biotch!

Blue coolant running through UV hoses would look pretty tight. I would mount the radiator under the rear of the car somewhere.

As for cameras....I will have a trunk open keyhole camera record stuff, that will be wired to an INCAR pc, but that is spring 2006 project. I figure my car is out of commission in NY winters, so I might just upgrade this little bling mod.

I *could* buy a real computer radiator like this one
]
and mount it in the front of the car....but I think that is WAAAAY overkill. Ill order the parts this weekend, and start working on it.

Now....what color are we thinking for coolant? Keep it all in the blue family? Or do a red version???

I think blue would be too much blue for you setup. It really wouldn't show off the coolant lines. You need some contrast. Red and blue go well together, your car is red, and it would look like blood bumping through the veins of your car.

If that imagery is a bit too much, then I would suggest purple.

Yellow or green would match the blue, but not the car and not look good IMHO.

So I vote red or purple.

Red would be cool. Plus, red and blue make purple.

I saw a guy online who integrated a mac mini into his GTi. He had the power button actually integrated into the dash and a touch screen - that was pretty cool.

Funny you say that....I was going to fiberglass my whole trunk, and have a custom paint job.....the heart/blood pulmonary system. Since my car is red, i was gonna do veins and arteries pumping to a central core. Maybee Ill do red lines AND blue lines (arteries and veins)....

This is turning out to be a fun little project.

Dave,

That is one bad mofo cooling system, I dabled with liquid cooling for my computer once.

Let me just give you once piece of advice, make sure the system is fully sealed and always check it. Lets just say my system sprung a leak one time, and fried my entire computer, the mother board looked like it had been thru a fire and the harddrive fried as well.

Now mounting that cooler in the front would look bad ass, a front mount intercooler, if they only knew what is was for !!!!
