Default Honda indiglo emblem

ok, just got the blue "H" indiglo emblem for my s2k. I was planning on running power straight off the parking light. that way the "H" will glow when the parking lights/headlights turn on. Anyone have any experience with this?

You have three empty spots in the fuse box inside the car.
One is hot when the car is on.
One is hot when the lights are on.
Not sure about the other.

Get a cheap voltmeter to tell which is which. Go from there.

I was hoping to just run directly off of the parking light hot wire. Is this not an advisable thing to do? This brings up another question....how do you get to the light assembly? looks like you'd have to take the wheel and the wheel well off.

Just look for empty slots where a fuse would go.

I think they're stacked one on top of the other, not side by side.

That's what I recall from memory.

Smith,
You can do this. Just find the wire coming from one headlight, or parking light. I realize you may have trouble finding it, and I can't help you there.

To tap into the wire, you can get some little things from Radio Shack.
I think they're blue and come in a little plastic bag. The size you want is probably blue that is.
You can crimp this over the wire and then crimp a new wire into it running parallel to the wire inside the car.

It's like an automatic splicer/connector thingy. The guy that was helping me out was actually of no help at all.

Good luck
Barrett.

My garage door opener is intalled to work with the high beam lights.

I soldered the button to the closed position (so it would be activated all the time).
Then I wired the battery connections to the high beam wires. When the brights are activated, the circuit in the garage door remote is closed, thus opening the door.

This was not my idea, I think it was Modifry. He does a lot of little electrical mods similar to this.

You can do it similarly with fog lights, but with the parking or low beam lights.

Good luck, and maybe someone else may be able to help..."cough Modifry"
