Default How to turn off warning beeper?

Does anyone know how to turn-off, disconnect or lower the volume of the warning beeper that sounds when you start the engine before you fasten the seatbelt?

I like to start the engine of my 2003 S2000 so it can begin to warm up while I fasten my seatbelt, but the warning tone is so loud it bugs the hell out of me. Any suggestions on how to turn off the beeper or turn down the volume would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier, and I'm surprised the mods didn't move it to Electronics.

The beeper itself is built into the gauge cluster and there is no easy way to disable the sound for just the seatbelt warning. But . . .

You can disconnect the driver's seat belt sensor. Under the driver's seat is a wire that goes from the seat to under the carpet, with a connector in the middle. Just unplug the connector and the buzzer will never sound again. It will also NOT illuminate the seatbelt light in the dash, but then I bet that's not a problem for you.

Sorry, fell asleep at the wheel. Moving now (for what it's worth).
