I had my amp mounted directly on the floor which really sucks because you can put anything there. So, my friend Josh came up with this idea you see here. Big thanks to him for basicly spending the whole day doing this for me!
We also stealth mounted two 4" DC fans, one blowing in and one exhausting out to keep the amp cool. I had it cranked on the half hour drive home and no problems. It might be tough to see, but we also mounted two 6" red neon lights under the panel that activate when the trunk lid is opened. Next step, mounting a 13" monitor on the trunk lid and a PS2 for entertainment at shows and BBQs.
I can get some underside pics tomorrow. The lid just sits on the lip that is there when you remove the toolbox and OEM cover. So the lip provides support and it presure fits on the sides to keep it tight.
The amp with the red looks hot!!!!! How did you do the neon light install? I've been wondering how to do that plus the footwell lighting for quite a while. I want to get started but I just dont know how to do it!

Thanks for the compliments!!
that does look nice... right now i'm planning on a similiar install method for two rather largish amps... i'd really like to see what things look like underneath... if i'm lucky, i'll end up looking that clean...

do a couple searches on neon -- MacGyver has a whole set of posts explaining how to do it, including wiring diagrams and parts you'll need.
I bought a kit that came with two 6" neon lights and a power box for it that has a cigarette plug on it. All you have to do is cut off the plug and connect it to the same wires that supply power to the trunk light. Just check the polarity before you connect to make sure you have it right. Kit was like $40.
I have the same speakers, but I had the box custom molded into the tool holder area(where you mounted your amp). My amps in my. Really no where else hidden to put it.
