Default is this HU worth it?

I was looking through crutchfield and came across this is HU http://www.crutchfield.com/s_500CDE1...T.html?tp=5684. I was wondering is worth it paying that much or can I get something better with the same amount of money. Also would I be able to close the radio door with this HU? thanks

I never have to many problems out of Alpine equipment. The 103bt is basically a base model radio with the bluetooth built-in for hands free calling. You shouldn't have any problems with the radio door closing. If for some reason you do run into clearance issues you can always drill new mounting holes in the factory brackets that hold the radio in to sink it a little further back behind the door.

Worth and better are always highly subjective. We can't tell you if it's worth it to you or not. If you want suggestions for "better" options then provide your criteria for what is or isn't better.

I have a full Alpine system in my S, never had any issues with the HU, AMP or any component of the system. The radio door will open n close without issues. The volume knob sticks out just enough to were when you open the radio door it will go to an adjust mode for Bass. My headunit has the same appearnace but is XM ready and what ever else it comes with.. not sure of the model #

As was stated before, this is an entry level head unit with decent sound and bluetooth. Keep in mind that the bluetooth does not provide A2DP which means you will not be able to stream music via bluetooth.

None of Alpine's single DIN head units with built in bluetooth provide A2DP functionality. A2DP functionality is available for Alpine bluetooth compatible units with the purchase of accessory model KCE-400BT.

That receiver seems to be a good value for the money.
