For months now i've been trying to figure the best way to put mobile video in my car. Should i put a flip in the dash? Put a 7" screen in the dash with a DVD headunit?? Well Sony has come through again with their new 9900 series high res head unit... it has MP3, XM Radio, Dynamic Sound Stage, and the ability to accept video feed!!! Here's a few pics of my new setup... let me know what you think???

Head unit off:

DVD/SVCD Player with aux vid in (for game consoles, etc...)

Playing Mp3 with moving street scene as background (has 25 different visual displays!!!)

Playing Matrix from DVD source

I know... its a small screen but you can actually adjust the zoom/widezoom/or cinema view 12 different ways to format the movie. And it is actually pretty clear. You can definitely watch a movie you've already seen without missing anything!!!

Definitly has a cool aspect to it. I think the screen is small, but in a car like this it's definitly an option, especially for people who don't wish to cut their dash.

Ive always learned to be honest with people, and I believe we are all "friends" here so to speak so....

Execution is great.....reality....terrible.

The picture is crushed, and is nothing like a 7" TV. Just get a nice monitor, mount it, and have a real TV. There is no point of half assing the job.

Whatever floats your boat, I just dont believe in sugarcoatings.

I agree with NFRs2000NYC... Just seems to be a waste if the screen is so small.
