I agreee, I wouldnt want to take my eyes off the road to scan the map.
in that situation I think I'd pull over. I always pull over when looking at my map anyway.

Someone mentioned the audible directions, well, that's kinda what they're are for.

I agree though, it'd be nice to have some kind of map in ur std field of view versus looking down but this install still looks pimp nonetheless

What did you do with the USB cable socket?
The socket is still there... and if I need to load new maps it is simple to remove the device from the cupholder.

how much was it all??
Prices in Europe are very expensive compared to USA... there is no point to mention the price but since you ask it is only the cost of the device. The specific one in Greece costs around 650Euros, but in USA is way much cheaper.

I too was looking at this exact model before this post and I was wondering what the guts of the unit looked like. I've always wanted to get a small one like that and rearrange the guts to lay flat inside of either (assuming the wires were long enough for the screen)->the A pillar or possibly stacked on top of each other to lay flat in the sun blocker. That would be perfect for not having to look too far from the road.

wanna open her up for me and take some pics of the inside?

@Avernus
I dont think I will open her up.

@Willie Gee
A far as I know nobody has done this but there is more space in the MY04-06 to fit it.

Very intersted in this project but had two questions. I just pick up a garmin gps c320 and had two questions about the install. First off, to turn on and off the unit, you need to push in the button on the right. How would you then do this with it in the cup holder. Do you have to left it up all the time.

Second, to connect it to the car's power source, do you need to run something to the battery. If so, what do you have to do so that when the car is off, its not charging all the time.

Thanks for any help
