Installation Help- Aftermarket Alarm
For those who have installed aftermarket alarms, how do you get the doors to open/close? I figured out the trunk because all you have to do is connect the black/yellow wire to 12v. I'm having trouble figuring out how to connect my alarm which puts out either a + or - pulse to open and close my doors. If we only had a door switch things would be much easier. Anyone know which wire I have to tap?

the door locks are 5 wire reversing polarity locks and there is one lock and 2 separate unlock wires.
you're going to need relays and a diagram if you dont know that type of setup.

Can anyone tell me how the keyless module works? For the trunk all you have to do is connect the black/yellow wire i believe to 12V and it works. For the doors, I tried to connect the lock and unlock wires to ground and 12V like the helm manual says but in one instance I get nothing the other is just sparks. How does the thing work?

The doors lock and unlock by way of a ground pulse from the alarm.
You should be able to figure it out from this:
http://www.azcartoys.com/s2000alarmwiring.pdf
Assuming your alarm provides the standard blue and green lock wires (by way of generating a ground pulse) - ditch the relay and just connect them as shown in the PDF

thanks for the help man... i actually bought the hornet alarm from you a while back but I wanted remote start so I recently bought a compustar.
I tried to do it the way I installed the hornet alarm from you and it didnt work. I'm thinking I keep blowing the fuses cause the currents too big. I found the current to be 3 amps... so tomorrow I'll hit up radioshack get me a 4ohm resistor if they have and see if that works. Any other possibilities?

sup... how did you wire your 5wire door lock relays?
did you do the following:
Left Relay:
Alarm lock output to Pin 86
Pin 30 to Pin 6 Pink/Black of Keyless Entry
Pin 87 and Pin 85 to fused 12 volt
Pin 87a to Ground
Right Relay:
Alarm unlock output to Pin 85
Pin 86 and Pin 87 to fused 12 volt
Pin 87a to Ground
Pin 30 to Pin 7 Yellow/Green and Pin 18 Pink/BLue
How this works:
Pressing Lock, alarm will pulse out to the left relay and send 12 volts to Pin 6 and the right relay will send ground to Pin 7 & Pin 18. The right relay is resting at ground which is the correct state.
Pressing Unlock, alarm will pulse out to the right relay and send 12 volts to Pin 7 and Pin 18. The left relay is resting at ground which is the correct state.
You can double check this information regarding the keyless entry information in the S2k Service Manual 22-133.
Good Luck!

I was given an easier way to tap into the keyless module which does not require the use of the relay. Problem is that my lock wire on the alarm isnt working.
Do you know how to hook up the remote start/turbo timer??
