Default Interior Dome Light

I believe I have exhausted all options, and still cannot figure out what the issue is. The dome light will not work or turn on in any fashion (door is open, buttons pushed in). I have replaced the dome lights 2 times, cleaned the connections from the DIY page and even bought a new assembly.

I have changed fuses along with tested the volts going to the lights (12.5) and the interior lights still do not work.

Are there any suggestions on fixing the lights?

does the light turn on in the on position? i know the stock dome light on button is wired to the ground on a bolt.

as for the doors, if it comes down to it. it can be the physical door switch.

of course the dome light switch is in the "on" position. i have toggled the switch and tried all the combonations and still nothing. do you think it has somethign to do with the actual wiring going to the dome light? are there any alternatives to bypass the stock set up?

Have you hooked up a volt meter and verified you're getting power to the right places? Both my dome light switch and driver's side door switch are very sensitive to being in exactly the right position, otherwise no light...

I had a similar problem, and found the door switch connectors were corroded. Cleaned them up and the dome lights worked as they should. Worth a try

The question was whether it turned on in the on position. It should not normally be switched to the on position or else it will stay on when the doors are closed.

The question was asked to determine if you're getting any power to the dome light.

If you have 12 volts then you need to check your ground.
