IPod integration - is it the future
I bought a neo ion sp iPod adapter from www.mp3yourcar.com awhile back for my car. So now my iPod takes place of the cd changer. After using it and seeing my friends show interest in it I have come to the conclusion that in a few years cd changers will be obsolete and everyone will be using iPods or other digital music players. Young people really seem to want this and for car companies to think they are still going out and buying actual cd
CD's and cd changers will linger around for a while, but digital media is deffinitly where I see things going. Prices and tech for doing things such as in car computers (See www.mp3car.com sometime) are really good right now and only getting better.
digital music is the present.
imo there's no point of getting a cd changer anymore. with the advent of the Alpine KCA 420i and similiar devices, the way we listen to music in our cars and our lives is forever changed. What makes it more exciting is "podcasting" where you can record commercial free internet radio of your choice, on your ipod or similar, then play the recordings in your car at your liesure.
Soon, onboard computers will come as standard equipment. I'll put a mac mini in my minivan as soon as reliable navigation programs are released for Mac osx.
It's exciting times...

Your think like me, my S2000 will be recieving a Mac Mini when I move back to mainland in a year or two. I would do it now but I simply don't know which shop to trust out here in Hawaii for the in dash screen install, so I'll go back to the shops I do know.
