Where does the cable from your iPod run? Does it go through the transmission tunnel (i.e. no wires visible when compartment door is closed)?

Yes it does. It interfaces with the Alpine HU.

I really have nothing but good things to say about them. I have had my unit for awhile now and I am very happy with it. Straight forwards install, good sound quality, and very nice people to deal with. Take a look at this post that a fellow member made about them.

Neo iON =

Using with a gen4 40gig iPod and the factory 2004 head unit. So far, it's working great.
