Default JL 300/4 under pass seat?

I've seen a lot of people setting their amp in the trunk but I havnt seen anyone with it under the seat. Is it because it doesnt fit?

Tough fit for it under a seat - but the JL slash amps (500/1, 300/2, 300/4) mount niceley on the wall behind the passenger seat (heatsink up) with minimal loss of leg room.

They also fit quite nicely in the area above the gas tank between the trunk and the passenger area.

This shot shows the original mount my local installer used. The amp is now upright with the connectors facing the rear for easier access.

Thats what i thought, and my wife and i are tall so leg room is something i dont want to give up at all. This is what i ended up doing with mine. Hardly any loss of trunk space, and looks clean. Wasnt to tuff, and the brackets are 1/4 in metal we bent and welded to the car.

Heat sink never contacts the seat. And you only really lose 4-5" of leg room.

I'm only 5'7 and my wife is 5'2 so I don't think we'll miss 4-5 inches of leg room. thank you guys.
