JL Audio c2-650x? feedback?

Default JL Audio c2-650x? feedback?

I'm looking to purchase a set of c2-650x to replace my OEM..

I would like some feedback on the c2, as far as installion process and hows the fitting( any modif needs to be done??)

They will not fit in the factory baskets so you will need to either buy a mounting ring our make one. Installation is very easy and there are several diy write-ups available to make it go even smoother. As far as a review on the speakers. The jl c2 line is an amazing set of speakers no matter the size. The will preform best with an amp though, but it will be a big upgrade from factory.

Yes. The depth of the speaker is what will cause you to not be able to use the factory basket.

Ebay sells mounting rings or you can find them at a local audio shop. Sometimes they have some just laying around so you can grab some for cheap, but be prepared to spend $10-15 on them from a shop.

I can't find one on ebay at all. what type of mounting ring should I look for?

Either a 3/4" or 1" spacer should do. Here is a link to some from crutchfield

So I still use the OEM bracket but add the spacer ring to it?
