We should at least get an update. The bing0 box is looking better with each day we wait. Anyone have comments on the bing0 box while we're waiting? S2R?

Bing is currently working on my box. It'll be here soon, I hope. Keep emailing, he'll reply. He's replied to me pretty promptly. PM me if you want his email address. Remember he's one guy and it's not like he can mass produce these things. Mindcore has a friend who can do the same thing, so you guys can PM Mindcore as well.

I have a Bingo Box. It has an Audiomobile EVO 10 and RF Amp - 300 Watts RMS - If I recall correctly.

It works super. More than enough bass for my taste. I had them mount a volume control for the amp in the cabin, makes my 17 y/o daughter and I both happy.

I have had it out of the car once since it was installed. Easy enough to do but more trouble than the space is worth to me. Yes, golf clubs fit.

If you do a search, I believe there was a picture of the car, with the box being installed posted.

And no, I have no relationship with Bing except as a very satisfied customer. I love my S2000 but boy did I hate the stock stereo. Now I love the car and the stereo - MB Quarts, Phoenix Gold, and a Bingo box.

If you have any specific questions, I will be happy to try and answer them. If you are near Pittsburgh Pa. we could try and make arrangements for any of you to see and hear it. I am hoping to go to York next Sat., so that would be another possibility.

Mike

how far does the qlogic box stick out from the rest of the trunk floor? I would still like to put a golf club bag in the trunk from time to time...

jaded41,

i saw your pictures of your trunk install. how stable/secure is your rockford fosgate amp? i see that you have it installed on the "false wall" between the trunk and the gas tank area. i was thinking of putting my rockford fosgate 400.4 there, or maybe under one of the seats if it will fit.

My friend had a JL Subwoofer placed in his trunk and the place he went made him a false floor in his trunk so he can use his trunk to store stuff w/o damaging the speaker. The whole setup is pretty damn cool. You don't even know he has a subwoofer untill he turns on his stereo. They did a very nice job. I'll try to get the number of the store where he had it done if anyone is interested in so cal.

I just wanted everyone to know that I found this guy who works for an incredibly clean car stereo place in NJ and he's going to build me a custom sub box for my new S2K. He gave me some rough specs..........fiberglass enclosure which will be molded to fit perfectly into the trunk well as well as color accents around the edge of the box to match the color of my S2K. What I couldn't believe is that he said he could do all this for under $200.00.! I thought this sounded very reasonable.

I'm going to have a few pics posted in the next few days to see what my fellow S2K owners think.

He told me that if anyone else is interested that he'd be able to crank em' out ASAP.

Thanks Bob,

Please keep us updated.

I did email JL last week and this was their reply. Not much information other than the application has been tested and approved.

"The Stealthbox application for the S2000 has been prototyped and approved. Production tooling and final pricing is yet to be completed. As soon as I have pricing and a completion date on the production tooling, I'll be able to give you an availability date. I'm sorry I can't give you a better answer than that at this time. I expect the needed information to arrive at my desk any day now. I'll be sure to e-mail you at that time.

Sincerely,
Don Vertrees"
