Default Just got speakers for my S-Pods

This is my second install for my S-pods (first pair were stolen)...

I have Crystal 5.25 components hooked up to the stock 04 HU. They just sound weak and not loud at all (even with volume up).

Don't get me wrong...they fill in what was missing, but just sound 'quiet'...any thoughts?

Did the first set sound better? Were they the same brand/model? The stock HU isn't that powerful so you can't expect much. Are you getting a good seal on the S-Pod? Shouldn't they act like a sealed enclosure?

I don't recall if the first set sounded better...(long story)...By how weak these sound, I can only imagine that they did sound better.

The new speakers are identical to the old ones. I am getting a good seal on them too.

I have adjusted them on the HU.

That's how I noticed that they sound weak...When I put them to full rear they just dont sound as loud as the fronts.

I bet the stock head unit is the culprit....You need more juice.
