After having my car broken into I decided to get an alarm. The one that I liked
the best was the Clifford Rs-3. So far the alarm is great, I have a little screen readout
of my car status at all times and the alarm works great with the top down. I opted not
to go with auto start for many reasons like: not really sure how it would work and I was
told it was illegal to have them on standards. But anyway if your looking for a good
and reliable alarm go with clifford.

p.s. anybody else have this alarm, and how is it working for you?

DO YOU USE YOUR FACTORY REMOTE OR DO YOU HAVE TO USE THE CLIFFORD REMOTE AND YOUR FACTORY REMOTE AT THE SAME TIME?

 

I have the DEI version of it and I love my alarm.

 

Why would you have to use both remotes after paying a couple hundreds bucs for an alrm system?

Is there a difference between that Clifford RE 3 and the Viper with the same remote?

 

What exactly do you mean by DEI version of the Clifford RS 3?

No I do not use the old keyless entry. I use the new one that has the Lcd screen on it.
Im not sure what the difference is between the Clifford and viper. I have not looked at
the viper790 VX.

Doesn't matter...DEI has purchased just about every major manufacturer of alarms out there. Clifford is now just another brand name sold by DEI, including Viper.
