JVC KD-AVX77
hey guys
i was wondering if any of you guys tried the JVC KD-AVX77?
does it fit?
will the door close?
what did you have to do to make it fit?
overall happy with it?
also, i was looking at the JVC KD-NX5000 too..but i like the touch screen better
thanks for any help.

According to JVC tech support, it has the exact same unit and faceplate dimensions as the KD-ADV38, which does fit.
In order to fit my ADV38 though, I did have to trim all the unused wires on A/V input output headunit harness.
I've been looking at this exact same headunit too, but it worries me a bit that crutchfield says no for some reason.

i really like this headunit (jvc kd-avx77)..and since its kinda new not alot of people installed it yet.
there are two other guys on here that have, and they are sure it can fit by messing/cutting the harness wires a little bit.
so i think im gonna take a chance and buy it.
also, do you guys have any suggestions for door speakers? im not planning on installing the seat speakers, so i need something really good (but not crazy expensive) for my doors..
i have the kd-adx44 touchscreen and if the dimensions are the same then no the radio door will not close. HOWEVER it is a really easy modification that only requires a drip of super glue. you can take a pair of pliers and remove the male pin on the radio door and adjust it accordingly until it clips onto the female adapter on the radio frame, then just glue the male pin.
