Wow- things aren't cheap but still less expensive than the fines+insurance surcharges in NJ.

Sorry, still haven't installed my Blinder M45 unit yet. Florida is a beast with monsoon rains almost daily now and I'm unfortunately garageless. In answer to the last question, my unit cost $679.00 and the e-tailer I got mine from, needfultoyz.com has a deal where they throw in a wireless connection unit called Cheetah. It wirelessly connects the two pods that you mount on your front and two on the rear to warn you when it's been hit and it's jamming the laser. The Cheetah is normally $144. so with that bonus it was the least expensive for an authorized dealer and the Cheetah means it should take a very short time to install. Just one ticket could cost several hundred dollars if the speed limit drops say from 45 to 25mph in some special zone. Going 20 over the limit will make you liable to be arrested and your car impounded immediately! Add to that a big insurance increase or even cancellation plus points on your record and the sticker shock of $1000 for the Blinder and say an Escort X50 Radar detector as I have, suddenly seems not so outrageous. And that's just for the first ticket avoided. Sure, obey the laws....but one speed reduction sign hidden by a semi as you pass by it is real world stuff.

Wow, wholesale is good. I imagine that's the M20 with the front protection only. Amazon still has the M20 for $325, though it's replacement the M25 is around $400. The M45 has the rear protection also for those really sneaky cops, though getting blasted from behind is much less likely. I felt it was worth it for the extra peace of mine. Hey Slows2k, how come you didn't float a group buy to share the wealth!

Hey my friend has the M45 Extreme with license plate cover and the veil on his 07 Q7 and he loves it. He also has the V1 and if he ever gets hit by a laser he turns the jammer on and slows down to legal speed and then turns it off. The only time the M45 will not work is if the cop hits u from closer than 1000 feet. Hwoever, where i live (in LI, NY) a cop is nto allowed to hit u with a laser unless ur atleast 1000 feet away.

Active Laser Jammers are LEGAL. Active Radar Jammers are ILLEGAL.
Dont get those mixed up. Certain states dotn allow the active laser jammers but everyother state ur fine.

Im buying the m45 extreme and a v1 in about a week or two

But doesn't the laser lock on in a split second? How does he get time to turn the jammer on once he's heard his radar detector go off? Isn't it already too late by then? I don't understand.
