laser jammer

uhm... terahertz... laser jammers are only useful when cops use their laser as opposed to their radar. so you only know if a jammer is useful when in one of those crucial do or die moments unless you have law enforcement friends that will let you test it...
but i've heard lots of good things about k40 actually... i'm just stalling because i want more information about them all and because i don't have the money for one right now

yes i know how a laser jammer works. go look up "guys of lidar" on youtube or their website. they have tables of data showing how close u have to get for "punchthrough" to actually happen, meaning how close you can get to the laser gun before they actually get a reading despite the jammer. they test multiple guns and multiple jammers.

AHAHHAHA I know these guys... dude .... some of their tests are real, and some aren't.... the one video your talking about they didn't even hook up the K40 jammer :-) but since it's on the internet it must be real..... the video of them actually testing it is somewhere i'll have to find it... but they had 2 cameras, one at the laser and one inside the cab to show that the laser jammer was actually picking up the gun showing how far away it reallly worked from.
anyways, i'm not looking for an "alternative" to a jammer... i'm just killin time until i make enough money to buy one. in the meantime, though, i'm trying to pick up information from various sources...
yes, lidar does have SOME information about radar detectors and the like but a lot of what i've seen on there contradicts itself so i don't really see that as a viable source of information. i'm looking for experience-proven facts.
I personally know someone who has had a lot of success with a K40 jammer (he has complete radar detector/lidar jammer system built in). But if there are different "models" or "revisions" available, I'm not certain. So please take my comment with a grain of salt.
I remember looking up comparison data a few years ago, just like you are requesting. There were two websites at the time, which claimed to be independent testers of all things radar/lidar. Of course by now, I can't remember the sites. Anyway, as I recall, K40 wasn't the top dog on their testing (and both sites agreed, IIRC).
Speedtrap.com maybe????

some good sites for info and reviews:
radardetector.net - these guys really like the Blinder brand of laser jammers.
radartest.com - rated Blinder well. Rated K40 extremely poorly.

guysoflidar.com - their 2007 shootout rated all tested devices pretty well, except. Laser Interceptor got the best results.

K40 , they'll pay for your tickets. Their deffusors have been tested on every laser gun and have been dated and rated by an independent company, It has the widest range of coverage (front bumper , rear bumper) it's sleaker and smaller than any other jammer out there.
Secondly I'd go with Blinder
Then after that Beltronics / Escort

So far the best seems to be the Blinder.
I'm leaning towards the Escort ZR3 since it can connect to my 8500 x50

I'd recommend seeing how the ZR4's perform when they're released. If you don't have the cash for the jammers then your realistic alternative is an attorney.
