7 grand?! Are you mental?!?!!?!

The dash piece itself can be had, I think, for $450 from some of our sponsors, and I'm sure you could get a local shop to do all kinds of custom stuff to it for under a grand.

Hell, buy two dashes, a US and a JDM, remove the center console from the JDM and transplant into the US one...TOTAL is less than a grand if you're willing to do a bit of work yourself.

I did the work myself. The LCD's cost $150.00 a piece. Install was simple, just cut a hole in the visor.

$150 each for the monitors? WHERE, WHOS? Thats a deal! WHat size? What resolution?

Did anybody ever say $7000 for the NAV system?

Its my car, I never said that!

The Alpine NAV is $1800.
Then u need a monitor $600-$800

So unless your installer charges you $4500 to cut a whole in your dash...... (mine didnt by the way!)

If anyone is interested the Alpine NAV is a cut above the others on the market.

In these custom installs, could the Volume / Ch / Mute switches on the dash still be made to work?

during the day when i have them on, i flip the visor almost all the day forward. So it's not actually 90 degrees when the sun can glare off the screen. Haven't had any problems.
