Ok here is an idea, i just dont know how to do it. We leave our tops down sometimes if the car is in a safe area, so lets just say, we raise the top, but dont latch it. Can our remotes or an after market remote be set up to lower the top when we are lets say 30 ft away. So when your takin the girl to your car, u just press a button and the top goes down, now that would be sweet

They actually offered this to me when I bought my Clifford Concept 600. The latch thing was a deal killer though. Don't think it makes sense to raise the top and have the gap at the top shouting, "Hey thief, I am not latched and am sure that if pulled me just a little, everything inside is yours!!". Would look cool though!!!

It can be done. How do you think they get window roll up and roll down to work. It works off a current draw where it sences how hard the top is working(hard and top is up or down).

Only thing is that if you use a thing to protect your window like me it wouldn't work!

It wouldn't be that hard to do from an installers point of view just need an extra output or 2 from your alarm.

I've realized that if you always use your hardtop or keep your the soft one down for a long time, when you put it back up electronically ... The gap is so much bigger compared, I even have problems trying to lock it down both sides at the same time alone.
