Well, since you didn't let me respond by closing your thread (Kenwood mp3 player), I figure I'll post this thread...

If you read my original post correctly, I said some places online does have a warranty for products they sell. Not all online vendors have grey market items for sale.

Am I starting a flame war? Nope, I'm just telling the truth & that's it..I have to admit though, your prices for the pre-programmed PAC items are good. The local audio stores want $70 just for that item, not programmed yet.

I never said your company wasn't legit. I never said you charged up the a$$. All I did was ask if you could match/beat another vendors price, that's all.

As for the "answer many people's questions on my time (often with NO compensation or purchase)", correct me if I'm wrong doesn't every vendor/retailer do this on a daily basis? Why should you be any different?

Although I'm glad you're a board sponsor, it doesn't mean an automatic purchase from me. All it means to me is that you support the board & you're more informed about car audio for the s2k then most car audio shops, that's all.

Jimmy, your point was made..ease up a bit will ya?

Lucid goes way beyond what is considered normal customer service..this is really rare these days if you havent noticed..

Now I didnt read the whole thread but merely implying that his company might not be liegit just aint cool..
I suggest if you want to continue this, you PM him..it accomplishes nothing having this on the forum.

Guys

This is a dead issue. Lucid is as above board and as honest (to a fault I might add) as they come.

He posted a very informative review for education not a lot of commentary on pricing as far as I could see. Take it up in private if you have issues with his pricing.

You can trust that if you buy from Lucid that if there is a problem, he will bend over backwards to recitfy the situation.

Mindcore & everybody else that don't know me. I'm one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet (I'm sure any s2k owner that has met me in person can back me up), I didn't do anything wrong. Mindcore, please read both posts & you'll see I never once accused his company (Or him) of being non-legit. Like I said in the earlier post, all I did was just ask if he could beat other vendors prices, that's all.

I don't have a problem w/vendors defending themselves. I just have a problem w/people making remarks towards/against me & for them to not let me speak on my behalf (Lucid saying something towards/against me & then him closing the thread). I have no animosity towards Lucid. Again, I was just asking if he would match and/or beat other vendors prices, that's all.

Honestly, I initially criticized Lucid for his prices when he started up his business and board sponsorship...

BUT NOW after reading about his endless service... almost to the point of driving/flying out to your car and installing the items for you, I commend him for his dedication and level of support. Sure, be sceptical about a new service/company... but after months and months of nothing but positive feedback... we have a winner here.

Sure super service and support costs money... if all you want is a widget in a box buy it from the cheapest place...

Lucid, congratulations on the success of your business! Just don't get burned out with all the support

Wow, congratulations to me too: 1000 posts (sorry Lucid )

This thread cracks me up. Everyone is so touchy. I know Jimmy and he's a good guy and I'm sure Lucid is too as I've pm'ed him before. Just leave it alone.

Jimmy is a nice guy.. i don't understand getting pissed off cause he asked if a price could be beat isn't that standard practice that customers try to find competitive prices?
