Default Magnetic Cell Phone Holder, potential problems?

I installed a magnetic cell phone holder to the right of the steering wheel, in the notch where the ignition slot is. It's not in the way of anything, and not causing any problems, but i was thinking about magnets and electricity and how they affect each other, and wondering if problems may ensue? no problems now, and it works great, but I worry about my baby...

Only something else that's magnetic, i.e. hard drives and the like, will be affected by the magnet, so I can't think of anything that would be a problem there. The magnetic field from it is constant, so it won't play with the electricity.

Problem with what? If it's the phone you are worried about, don't. Some phones have vibrate alert and that is an electric motor with an unbalanced wheel on them. That motor has a magnet it. Some phones will distort the picture on a CRT if it's next to it and it rings/vibrates.

This post made me think of wanting to sell a magnetic credit card holder.

Keep it away from the speakers and you should be fine.
