Im gonna be doing some expermenting with the toner transfer method. anyone know where to get the copper etch? Not even google could help me!

You mean something like acid paste? MY best guess would be a plumbing store....What are you trying to do exactly, I might be able to help you a bit better....

Radio Shack use to make a PCB design kit that came with everything (including some etch)... they may still cary it.

Just an idea if you didn't consider it: whenever I'm prototyping, I usually use a generic piece of breadboard and solder wires between the pins or wirewrap them. Works just as well and a well done wirewrap job can look very neat.
