Many , Many Thanks to everyone connected to this board. I have gotten great ideas and have seen great setups.

I have been slowly upgrading my system in steps. Reading the different threads and viewing different ideas has enabled me to keepthe costs down but get the sound quality higher.

1) Stock head units with '02 stock door poly-speakers and tweeters
2) Lucid rear speakers Tsunami 4" speakers and wiring harness
3) PIA aux input for MP3 player
4) 4 Channel Amp HIFONICS EAGLE (50 x 4 into 4 ohms, 80 x 4 into 2 ohms)
dimensions 8"W x 8" L x 2" H purchased from SoundDomain.com $180.00 is
equipped with high and low pass filters for front and rear channels.

amp is mounted to left of gas tank between bulkhead and fuel tank lines,
custom fits in this space. to improve airflow and protect amp from bouncing
installed rubber feet to all four corners. 8awg wiring run along driver's side
panel and then run through wiring harness through fire wall to Optima battery,
heavily shielded rca's run along side of console.

amp can also be installed inside of the spare tire, just need to fashion some
kind of mount, to clear lockdown screw. if the first locations does not work out.
Any one have ideas?

tuned amp to limit lows to rear speakers making them function like mid ranges.
cuts distortion and increases headroom for amp. Volume quite loud, you can
hear music clearly are 90mph plus with roof down and windows down.


5) on order, Kenwood compact powered sub KSC-SW1, ( Dimensions 16" W x
9" D x 3-3/4 H) will try to mount in back of one of the seats or inside of the
center well in the trunk. Hifonics Amp has rca outs so this should make the
install should be very simple. Amp is equipped with wired control too. It got
uniformly great reviews on crutchfield site, so I got it over the Clarion SRV 303
which have very mixed one.
