Default Midbass's need a home

I am in a bit of a bind. I am in the process of building an audio system and bought a pair of components and a pair of Kicker's SSMB6 midbass drivers. The original plan was to place the Kickers in the location behind the seat but the magnet is too wide. I really want to install these as I want the extra midbass.

So I come to you- the experts. Am I screwed or is their an option other then custom doors?

Your screwed....

Haha, J/K. If they are 6 1/2's you can use the s-pods, they should fit...unless they are larger than normal speakers.

Your SSMB6's will fit in your doors with proper spacer ring. Trouble is...now what do you do with your component speakers. Spod's are an option but don't expect any bass from them for your midbass's or any descent imaging for your components. Spod's don't seal well enough. They are great for "filler" only.

My suggestion...return the SSMB6's, if you can, and stick with your components in the doors. If you can't return 'em...ebay...craigslist...whatever.

Dynamat or equivalent your doors and stick with the components.

I too, like my sound full and clean and I'm happy with my components...Polk MMC6500 in doors and Kicker L7 12" in trunk. Much more equipment beyond that but that's another story!!!...
