Default Modifry Redline Warning Beeper

Just got it in and was reading the instructions on how it works and how to install. I was wondering regarding the valet mode, he advises that there is only a low rmp setting which if its activated and somebody goes over lets say 5k, that it would sound. MY question is that would it keep on sounding until you turn it off. Also, what if the person turns off the car after it was activated, would it keep on beeping after the car is off or when the car is turned back on would it keep on beeping. I was thinking of connecting this to my air horns I have installed in the front, but could you connect it to the beeper which came with the product. Thanks

I don't know for sure, but I'd guess that the beeper will stop once the rpm drop below the set parameter.

If thats the case, would their be any way to make it keep on until you de-activate the valet mode. Because if it goes down and doesn't beep again, then how would you be able to tell if they pushed the car. Would you have to set the playback rpm mode..

Yeah...it has a memory.

disclaimer: I am responding from what I've heard and memory alone, I don' have a beeper.

The "Valet Mode" you ask about is one of the things the "Optional Output Function" can do.
If you program a low rpm only, it will activate the "OPT" output when the revs get above the programmed low level.
When the revs drop below the level, the "OPT" output is deactivated, that happens also when you turn the car off IMO.
You need to connect another beeper or siren or anything that makes noise to the "OPT" output and the +12V, and it may not use more then half an amp, if it does you need to switch that on/off with a relay in between.

Whats the primary use of the beeper, to let it make a sound around 8500 rpm to let you know when to shift?

You could wire up the OPT output to a latching relay and a reset button. Then wire another horn to the NO contacts on your latching relay. Simple circuit.

So with modifry instructions, the only way I would be able to tell if someone took the car on a hard joyride would be the memory feature it comes with which would play back the beeping. It would beep in the car when the person goes over the set high rpm but after he goes back under, it would turn off. Is that how this works...

Second, can i still use the cruise control feature as the button if I do what snakeeater advised. What I was trying to achieve was to when I activate the valet mode, and they go over lets say 5k which is my set high rpm, that a continious beep occurs. It doesnt have to be horns or anything of that nature, it can be the beep product which came with the kit. Now with the beep, I want it to continue to beep until they deactivate it. So even if they go under the rpm or turn off the car, they would need to contact me to advise me how to stop the beep.

I would talk to Bob (Modifry) about your wish list. Maybe he can flash the Prom to give you a latched output reset by a another switch. He diesigned the cicuit, so he would be the best one to modifry it.
