That's the same point I was trying to make. Monster Cable is winning, but they're winning out of court with settlements, not in the court where there's any chance that a judge would say "What the fock is this!?"

 

personally - i think that judges should have the ability to issue "slap that idiot" judgements, where all the involved parties who start these frivolous cases are all pimp smacked so hard as to be knocked down. and yes, i do mean literally... and i'm talking bruised face kind of slaps here... and multiples...

it's this kind of crap, and other greedy personal injury/civil lawsuits that are really destroying this country (US) from the inside out.

 

Spike Lee won in a settlement. Spike TV paid him off because a judge ruled that the case could be heard in court (as opposed to being thrown out on no merit). The amount was never made public but pundits guessed that Spike (the person) got a fair amount of money in the deal.

 

Monster sucks! This is not the first time they have gone after people for the hell of doing it. Their product is overpriced crap. I haope someone turns this around on them and puts'em out of business.

 

Just so everyone knows.....knukonceptz.com, a site that I always highly praise....now sells high end home audio/video wiring. It appears to be extremely high quality, and if their car stuff is any indicator, it def. will be. I am ordering video cables from them for my car TV, and will let you know how they are. Also, their optical cable is 1/4 of the price of monster cable.

All Knukonceptz wiring has a 3 year warranty.

Anyway, I am not going to knock Monster products, because they are in fact good, however, I dont believe there is anything you can do to RCAs to warrant $200+ (Monster actually has $2000 RCAS!!!) No need for the scientific mumbo jumbo, I would never buy something like that.

So, now that you know you have a cheaper alternative, it will make the boycott that much easier.
