Default more bassy front components?

Hi,

I'm currently deciding whether to add a sub+amp or not. I've already bought a Wlaurent sub encloure, but I still can't afford the space it takes (doesn't fit my golf bag! )

Question is, what front components (plus amp?) offer a good clear and punchy bass. I'm not looking for huge bass, but just a fair punch without the need for sub.

At the moment, I have Pioneer DEHP77MP HU and Carrozzeria components (japanese imported car).

Thanks in advance,

i'm currently running Focal KP's w/ a Boston Acoustic GT22 and they are quite "punchy"! i, however, have not had the opportunity to hear any other systems in S2k's so i'm not sure what else to reccomend. i can say my Focals give more low end grunt than my old Boston Acoustic Pro 6.5's did with Fosgate power.

I run Diamond Hex S600s. They fit ok but needed a spacer for depth. I would imagine you will too.

What amp are you using for the Hex? How do they sound without a dedicated sub?

I like the wide range and excellent mid-bass I get from my Polk Audio Momo 6500s. Something else to listen to...

Im running the polk db6500 with the pioneer 7700. No amp, sounds great. If i didnt like bass soooo much, i would just leave these in there. They put off great clarity, and really nice bass too.

Running a Zapco 350.2. They need a sub.

I'm going to buy the new Polk SR6500's. They're amazing speakers. Do a search on them and read some reviews.
