Why don't you take a poll then.....The "sensor jammer" is something barely anyone knows about.....

I'm just educating and seeing if anyone knows or has installed it on their S.

So quit hating.....Or is that something you like to do on these boards?
yea you're right, no one here has ever seen a door that opens for them and wanted to use it to jam a radar signal, keep up the good work!

you're educating? you haven't posted any useful info yet...

hating? i said most people don't use ghetto stuff, sorry if that was offensive to you

ok, well i'll leave your thread alone

for what it's worth, audi now has a system that tells you if you're about to change lanes into another vehicle, which sends off the same signals that radar detectors pick up. I think mazda is using the same system for the new 6's.

I think it was car and driver I was reading this in, and they were unimpressed how it pretty much rendered radar detectors useless....

[QUOTE=Agate,Aug 5 2009, 04:03 PM] While I can't say if anybody has done it, I bet you'd piss everybody off driving down the road like that.

I agree.

Since most LEO's now use K, KA, and Laser would this do anything? That is unless you are in an area where the police use technology left over from 1991.

The door openers use X band for the most part and it has been years since I saw a legit X band signal on my Radar Detector.
It affects K and Ka, but I doubt laser since it has no frequency. Or not that I know of, I could be wrong.

Fair enough, I missed the part where you mentioned supermarkets door openers. That's K band. To answer your question, no it still won't work. The guns shoot a specific frequency, and can be adjusted for each gun so more than one will operate without interfering. They also use coded pulses to set up the doppler reading. To block it you have to shoot back the same frequency, and enough doppler shift to jam the gun.

"schooled"? Welcome to my people I never help again list.
