My audio sounds bad

yea, i just never thought/ heard any aftermarket speakers that were so bad, they had to be replaced (unless they were blown, possibly.?)
I run an older set of Kicker Competition Series Components in my doors and they sound perfect. I do not think I would touch any of the newer stuff - but.....
Hard to tell, but those look like the current SS series, which are supposed to be pretty solid. Looks like the phase plug is missing from the center of the mid-range which could effect performance.
I would start by locating the cross-over (should be in the door somewhere) and make sure it is actually there and properly wired up. Again - you need to find out what model you have and track down the install guide. If there is no cross-over look for a capacitor wired into the wires leading to the tweeter.
Once you verify installation go back and review your HU settings. Looks like the cross-over on the amp is turned off. You may try setting it to HI (hi-pass) and adjust the bass out a little as you may be over-driving the mid (and tweeter if there is not a real cross-over installed).
Oh - and the wiring is scary.

Maybe Im asking too dumb of a question....
but are your tweeters in the door playing any music? You say you dont know if you have components...maybe you are running coaxial speakers and do not have your tweeters hooked up?
Def check to see if your crossover is hooked up, that could be a big problem
If all looks good, go with new speakers.

Ok I'm not at home but I will report back to you. Def some interesting things to check out before I try to buy new speakers.
I disabled the amp in the Headunit and it is a bit better but still too much muddy bass, not clear higher frequencies. Now its not terrible per say, but my Jetta with HU, moonsoon speakers and small moonsoon amp sounds much more clear and its not even a proper system.
I'll report back!

Don't go out and start buying new equipments yet until you find the problem or you will be disappointed. You should listen to each speaker separately first to see if they are working right. There are many reasons why your system high freq sound bad e.g. blown tweeter, wrong phase, wrong xover, etc. and the list go on. But first, try the follow and report back:
1) Reset the HU - check owners manual
2) Check left speaker - shift the Left-Right balance all the way to left speaker on the HU (also shift the Front-Rear fade all the way to the front so you don't have any rear speakers/subs get in the way
3) Do the same for right speaker, leave the fade all the way to "Front"
4) When playing just the left or right speaker, check that the tweeter and woofer are playing. Each speaker should sound right playing by itself.

I didn't read any other post on here so if I repeat someone sorry.
What I noticed is first the wiring, you can have the bes system but if the wiring is bad then it will NEVER sound right.
Second, the speaker wiring going into the amp is set up in MONO... You see how the speaker wires are on L+ and R-?
Take that off and put it all on one row L+ L- and R+ R-, then set your gain, frequency and play with the amp a little while the radio is on to the level which you would normally listen to it at. Hope this helps
