My I.C.E. setup
Thought I would post up with my current setup. I'm running an Alpine CDA-9831 with Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1's, being amplified by an Audiobahn A4002T rated at 100Wrms x 2 @ 4ohms. The battery is an Optima Yellow Top, the power cables are Kicker, and the speaker wire is Monster Cables 4 conductor wire. I think Monster is overpriced but I got a discount, and it was the only 4 conductor wire I could find on the island. I did all of the installation work with thanks to the electronics forum for ideas on how to wire the car. Feel free to question and comment.

I have that same yellow top out of my other car and was going to use it in my S, but when I installed it the hood touched the positive terminal.
Did you shave the bottom or remove the under tray?
I was just going to get the other post arrangement model but if I can get it to work let me know.

The model I have is: SC51RDA
Make certain that yours has the same number on top, because mine simply fits and I know other S2000 guys who use it without problams as well. Hope that helps.

nice -- i admire your balls in putting the tweeters where you did. i thought long and hard about that spot, but chickened out in the end for fear of screwing up the leather.
I also have the model 51 Yellow Top -- no problems w/ fitment at all. it dropped in the OEM tray and bracket w/o modification, and it was essentially identical in size to the OEM battery.

I also have the 51R, the posts are reversed compared to the OEM battery, our car requires the plane old group 51, the 51R doesn't fit in mine without hitting the hood, I would love it if it didn't hit but it does so I have to get the other one, the 51 fits just fine.
But note there are two different group 51 yellow tops when ordering.

Sorry for the threadjacking!
I ordered this one. Did I get the right one?

Edit: is reverse right? Why can't they use better model numbers...
