Default My setup . . .

here are some pics of my setup in my S...i really like the way it sounds!!!

I did it all myself.....

including the speaker covers on the rears of the roll hoops....built the box, the false floor etc. . . .

it's still not done, i have basically no time to work on it, but i do still need to mount the rear component tweeters somewhere, get a capacitor, and mount the crossovers to look pretty haha

You can see the magnets of the alpine mid bass speakers right through the seats:

Lookin good. What are you going to do with the open area from the spare tire cover? Custom wall? Nice image transparency there on the trunk pic

im a very busy student and the only time i have to work on my stuff is sat. and its been freezinggg here so i never got around to finishin it. . . .
but I didn't wanna put the plastic cover back on because it blocks air traveling into the cabin....so probably a charcoal carpet to match the rest and look like the original cover...its kinda hard to explain i guess?

I don't think the cover will block too much air to make a difference. I have an MDF wall in mine and it makes no appreciable difference.

I hear you about the cold. It's like 10 here right now. I am dying to go outside to fool with my car but its just tooo cold.

well i removed the rear plastic tray that goes under the convert top and that made a HUGEEE difference in sound, both with the top up and down......so i want as much bass to come into the cabin as possible, thats why i'm leaving it as open as possible. . .

i also removed the rear plastics behind the lower back of the seats....that helps a little too i guess

the reason I didn't buy S pods was because i already had 6.5" alpine type R components and didn't wanna buy new ones. . . .

I think you mean your going to just use the stock panel and make a flat panel to work with the stock ones? right?

well yeah I was gunna make a frame so it will fit into the stock location, but then just stretch some thin carpet over it to make it appear as a panel....that way the air/bass will still travel through better than if there was a plastic panel sealing the trunk off from the rest of the cabin. . .
