Default my sub is dead? Interesting story

So my sub's been acting really weird. It will stop working all the sudden. No idea why.
So it stoped working mid trip the other day and I went home and started up a loud cd.
The sub doesn't even move. But then i push down on the cone like 1/2 of an inch and then it starts hitting..... Is it possible that there is just a connection that is bad on the inside? What do you guys think?

it's probably cheaper to replace the sub than to send it back to the manufacturer to recondition it.

don't give up that easy... if the sub is dead, you have nothing to lose in repairing it....

if you're not a solder kind of guy, go to a local shop and see if they have an in house tech who might do it for a modest fee.
