My Sub Died.. Should I buy a new one?
Well after having this subwoofer for over 4 years now, it has decided to die on me. It is a Rockford Fosfate P310D2 10' Sub. However, lucky back when I bought it, I had bought 2 of them for my old car, but only 1 made it into my S2000. I am in Korea so I can pay $35 bucks and get the second one shipped here. My second option is to go ahead and buy a brand new sub.
What do you guys recommend? Buying a new sub? If so which Sub do you recommend? Or getting my backup send to me from Florida.?
I personally loved the Rockford Fosgate as one of them hit harder and sweeter than most 12's I have seen. But would be willing to try a new sub. I would like to stick with a 10" since that what my box is now and I dont want to start cutting to fit a 12" and then not like how the 12" sounds. Below are the specs for my P310D2.
10" Punch Stage 3, DVC (2 ohm x 2) subwoofer with parabolic Injection molded Polypropylene cone, 2.5" aluminum voice coil former, Linear spider with embedded 16 awg tinsel leads, cast aluminum basket with spider venting, Large roll suround, 2" excursion, 77 oz double stacked motor structure, 8 awg compression terminals, optimized for sealed and vented enclosures, 400 watts RMS/800 watts peak. Mounting depth 5.9"
Features:
Size: 10"
Impedance: Dual 2 ohm
Power handling(RMS): 400 Watts
Power handling(Peak): 800 Watts
Motor Size: 77 oz double stacked
Coil Diameter: 2.5" Aluminum
Speaker Connector: 8 AWG Compression
Outer Diameter: 10.75"
Cutout Diameter: 9.22"
Depth: 5.9"
Tuning Frequency: 35 Hz
