Need help on Keyless entry connector
After reading the old posts about the s2000 keyless entry system. I think it's a piece of cake to install an aftermarket alarm and went out bought one for DIY. When I pop under the driver's seat, I've a big problem - the supposingly 18pin connector (to the keyless control unit) in my car is a 14pin green color connector (with only 11 wires there, needless to say, most of the wire colors are different than in the service manual). Even worse, I can't find any 14pin connector mentioned in the service manual in that vincity.
The 14pin connector found in my car is connected to a black box looks like the keyless control unit but it has a small adjustable dial marked with "L". Am I looking in the wrong place (approx behind the start button).
The other problem I have is I wanna install a parking sensor into my s2k. But I cant found a way to route the cable from the rear bumper into the trunk. Could anyone advise what's the easiest way to do this?
I'm completely loss and need help on these regards.
My car is a 2003 AP1 model from the UAE (Dubai) dealer. Could anyone help to give me some advise? Thanks.

I've obtained a Europe keyfob and a us keyfob. Try to reporgram both but to no avail following the following instruction (for both key fob).
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II) Fully on.
2. Press the big button on one of the transmitters. (An unprogrammed transmitter can be
used for this step.)
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) Fully off.
4. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 two more times using the same transmitter used in step 2.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II) Fully on.
6. Press the big button on the same transmitter twice. Make sure the power door locks
cycle to confirm that the system is in programming mode.
7. Within 10 seconds, press the big button on each transmitter twice. Make sure the
power door locks cycle after you press each transmitter button to confirm that the
system accepted the transmitter's code.
8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) Fully off and take key out to exit the
programming mode.
Without a clue, I took out the keyless entry box and found there's just 1 PCB inside. It slides out without any difficult and looks like this.

The keyless entry unit is behind the start button and looks like this. The empty black box on the top is what I believed to be the keyless entry modeul (the PCB removed). The green connector on the bottom is a 14pin connector. Everything of my S works perfectly this module disconnected:

Could anyone please help me and give some advise or information on how to make the keyless entry work or how to connect a alarm system (pin assignment of the 14 way connect)?
Thanks.
p.s. my s is from the a '03 model from the dealer in Dubai, Al Futtaim.

well. while i studying the pin assignment I found some problem. Could you pls advise if the connector is to be viewed as from the wire side of the connector or from the wire side of the control module? And could you pls explain what's silcon sw and what's key sw? Thanks.
BTW, my connector looks like this, viewed from the modeule side into the male connector (wire side of female termial).

According to your drawing, it seems I must have either the door lock or unlock wire missing in the harness! And i should not have a pin7 yet there's a wire in the green 14pin connector
Got puzzled. . .

the pin 14 I've confirmed with a multi-meter that it's a 12V power source from battery (the wire is blue/red). cant figure out others.
And one correction, pin 2 has a wire connected. It's pin 3 that is unused.
schmittx, do you have any advise?
any info will be helpful and appreciate. Thanks.

the diagram i posted is looking at the connector of the control module (mating side).
silcon sw = door lock switch = tells the unit whether the doors are locked or unlocked
key sw = key in ignition switch = detects if the key is in ignition
i'll take a detailed look at your connector pinout tomorrow, its late and my brain is fried right now...sorry
