Default need professional advice

i mounted my amp in a place where there is not much circulation. I added and cooling fan and i was wondering does the fan blows into the amp area or does it face the other way where it draws air out? any advice is appreciative

Basically....here is the concept....

If I put a plastic bag over your head, and you suck for air really hard, can you breathe???

Amps dont suffer from lack of air, they suffer from hot air. All you are doing with a fan is blowing hot air right back onto it. Place the amp where is can have a source of untrapped moving air.

yeah i know what you mean but i have 2 holes where the amp is. One is the fan blowing in and the other when you put your hand over it air comes back out? So you think it's better to pull air back out even with this setup.

personally -- i push air into my amp rack.

rather than pull hot air out and hope to get cooler air in, i'd rather push cooler air in and rely on the hotter air to escape.
