this page has a chart with the wire positions in the connector.
IIRC, a 2004 has wires for the (optional) rear speakers coming from
the connector but terminating near the center console knee panels.

so your saying the wires are there but stop/ cut off under the knee panels??? doesnt make since to me.

so theres no way to connect the rear speakers unless you connect them w/ the front speakers in the same termanals?

allegedly the wires are there, terminated with a connector I'd imagine,
but I'm just guessing because my 2001 certainly never had wires.
Apparently the optional headrest speakers came with wires you'd run
forward to meet up with the ones by your knees.
To connect your own rear speakers, you'd run speaker wire forward
to meet those wires (not the front speaker wires) and splice them together.
They'll be attached to the headunit's rear channels (headunits from all years
were 4-channel) so the fader will work fine, and you'll be effectively
doubling the power output of your headunit.

here's a link to the installation instructions for the headrest speakers;
hopefully it will make it all clear.

Can anyone tell me which pins are power and ground for the OEM deck? I just replaced the OEM deck with a new one, but I forgot to take out a CD in the OEM deck. I want to power up the OEM deck without having to plug it back into the car so that I can eject the disc. Thanks

I don't understand your problem. The table lists the pins, their locations and the color of the wire running to the pin. Assuming that the table is correct:

Left Rear + is #6, right next to #7 which has a green/black wire
Left Rear - is #16, right next to #17 which has a light green wire

Right Rear + is adjacent to Left Rear + & Right Rear - is adjacent to Left Rear -

Just compare the OEM harness to the table.

ok so 1-10 is the top wires and 11-20 is obviously the bottom wires. so all id have to do is count over the spaces needed right?
