So I've been looking around at other threads and it said that when you swap your battery, you'll need a radio code to use the radio again. Would I still need it for an aftermarket head unit?

There shouldn't be a radio code for an aftermarket head unit. Those are usually tied to stock only but there could be a specific model that may have it. If you're worried, just check your headunits manual. More than likely though, you're fine.
