Seems like I read somewhere that RF or somebody is coming out with a class-t amp. I'll try to find the link.

ARC audio makes at least one class-t, but it's for subs. I can't find the link that I read (or thought I had read) earlier. Must have been my imagination.

Noob question about that 9815. I was reading into this HU as well and I'm pretty interested.
When it says:
--Important Note: The powerful output of Alpine's V-Drive internal amplifier requires a direct fused connection to your vehicle's battery! We recommend that you purchase a 10-gauge amp wiring kit. --
Run direct power to the battery, correct? If that's the case, is it like VW's where you can accidentally leave the stereo on even when the car is off? All the head units I've installed before were always simple and ran just off the normal HU power so I was just wondering.
Confusing question?

Mocky57...

The current Alpine decks are the same way. I didn't wire mine up that way because I'm not using the internal amp though.

Alpine is recommending a direct connection to the battery because their HU's may draw more current than the stock wiring can safely provide.

Most of these products won't be out until late this month at the earliest. I'd say Mid Feb on most.

I love Alpine sound but i just can't stand their displays. Panasonic and Kenwood have them beat there. Lots of Mp3 decks from all brands for 03

I'm would like to know about this too. I want to use Alpine KCE-865B adapter to retain use of the dash controls. I don't want the SWI-X IR repeater because of the delay.

Lucid, what's the "Multi-Radio Dash Controller Interface" on your website. The link seems to be broken. I think you hinted to something like this in a post a few months ago. Any word on this?
