Default New FM Modulator?

http://www.mp3carplayer.net/mp3players/FMmod.htm

Has anyone scene, tried or heard this gizmo work? Could be a cheap alternative to replacing the stock head unit ... or for those of us who are leasing. It would be a tad bit hokey having this thing plugged into the cigarette jack and then into an MP3 player, but at least it is completely removable, quickly.

I wonder how well it holds it frequency ...

I've sold a couple of similar ones that work via battery. It's an OK alternative. Remember when you go to MP3 you lose quality, then lose more going over the FM band.

don't know about this one, but i've tried the one by soundfeeder and rio, and they both SUCK, i bought them for my ipod, however the preset choices of frequency outputs was filled with noise from other stations, maybe because i live in l.a. but still those ones built into cd changers are MUCH better

Your best bet would be a deck with wired input for such devices - palms, notebooks, mp3s, walkmans etc. It can be seamless design if you so seek it.

sony adapter with any handheld/portable (aux hookup for deck)

Three off the top of my head that are better than an FM adapter. I'm sure other headunit manufacturers have something similar.
