Alpine has a hard drive based deck? What's the model number? I need to replace my old trusting Archos Jukebox).

No, they have the KCA-420i which lets you hook up your iPod to the HU and control it with the HU's controls. The nice thing about that solution is that you only need to manage your music collection in one place.

I'm already doing that with my stock HU, a PIE auxilliary adapter and my Archos. I've got a panavise mount and I velcro the the Archose to the Panavise. The AJB is only 6 gig and I am running out of space, plus its no longer supported. If it breaks, I am SOL.

I like something less conspicuous to use. I would like to mount my SPIII on the panavise instead.

So what are other HDD based options? Same size as the archos?

An error rate of less than 1 in 1023?! Either someone in marketing hasn't a clue, or that system REALLY sucks!

After reading their 'about us' page, it's pretty obvious they've been smoking too much of the happy weed.

ipod mini's are 1000 songs. The Alpine 420 box is great. although can take some getting used to to operate it
