Default Nice job circuit city

I bought a couple of grand of stereo equipment and made the mistake of getting it installed by CC. Now my speakers hum everytime I accelerate with annoying buzz.

Also everytime I hit a bump the right speakers starts cracking up- a loose connection.

I went back to cc to get it fixed but they basically shrugged thier shoulders. Nice guys but perhaps not so skilled.

I have to say i am seriously p#ssed off at this point. I wonder how much a good stereo shop will charge to fix these mistakes....

Honestly, don't take this personally, couple grand at Circuit City means jack shit, when you spent nearly all that money on garbage. I saw their stuff last week and it's no where near good audio equipment. If you wanted good audio, you would have bought stuff from local vendor/sellers.

No I bought most of the stuff on the net and Lucid. Focal i652k, alpine hu, good amp, kenwoods in the rear. You are right though CC are a bit of a rip off on most of their stuff.30% over net prices and a bad selection.

Why didn't you put it together yourself? It's not hard working on the S. Go in and start redoing their work yourself to the quality you want.

I work at circuit city and I suggest you just take it back and tell them to fix it. I dont kno about in NY but most of the installs we do work for years without problems. If you have a problem take it back and they have to work on it until everything works 100%. You get a lifetime installation warranty, something you wont get at a lil shop that may close down in a few years.

As far as the audio equipment sucking, yeh you can go cheap and buy crap, or you can buy pretty decent shit. I have Infinity components and alpine amps, and subs, and it is by far an excellent system. BTW Alpine is far from crap.

No offence to you sup but the reason I bought on the net was the price, CC sells alpine at a 30% markup. Howevr cc has a great return policy.

My choice now is whether to go back to CC or go to a local shop. Either option is a major hassle. CC should have made sure the stereo worked first time out.

Yeh i definately agree with you 100%, sometimes it works when the car is still then has problems when it moves. If those guys are too incompetent to fix the problem take it to another CC in your area they will fix it. And if they refuse to or say they cant tell them to pull the system out cuz you dont want it with the noise, then go to a custom shop. As far as down here in S FL all my installs work 100%! I have no engine noise at any RPM, at any volume, and my system sounds great!
